743 Students Lace Up For SMK St Anthony Jogathon

SARIKEI: Energy and excitement filled the DSH Open Stadium as 743 students took part in SMK St Anthony Sarikei’s annual jogathon and 1M1S Run, drawing a lively crowd of over 1,500 people.

Organised by the school’s PIBG, the event was officiated by Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability, Dato’ Sri Huang Tiong Sii, who also joined parents, teachers, and community members in cheering for the runners.

He praised the enthusiasm of the participants and reminded students that physical fitness is key to academic and personal success.

The jogathon not only showcased school spirit but also doubled as a fundraising effort, strengthening ties among parents, teachers, and students.

As a gesture of encouragement, Dato’ Sri Huang announced a RM30,000 allocation to support school activities, ensuring programmes like the jogathon continue to inspire healthy living and unity in years to come. -UKASnews
