KUCHING: The Centre for Technical Excellence Centre Sarawak (CENTEXS) inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Sarawak United National Youth Organisation (SABERKAS) Women's Bureau on Monday.
Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier's Department (Law, MA63 and State-Federal Relations), Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali described this strategic collaboration as an important marker in the effort to produce quality human capital.
She explained that it opens a new chapter in the effort to empower Sarawak's female youth through skills training, technology and industrial development programmes.
"Through this MoU, members of the SABERKAS Women's Bureau and women in Sarawak will have the opportunity to participate in more than 600 training programmes offered by CENTEXS in various fields based on skills, technology and industrial development," she said.
The SABERKAS Women's Affairs Bureau Chairman added that this collaboration is in line with the Sarawak Government's aspirations through the Post-COVID-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030, which emphasises three main pillars, namely economic prosperity, social inclusion and environmental sustainability.
She said that with the MoU, more women and youth can be trained, not only to increase their own and family income, but also to contribute to Sarawak's success in achieving the status of a high-income developed state by 2030. -UKASnews
