Lions & Leos Installed In Bintangor, RM10,000 Grant To Support Community Service

BINTANGOR: The installation ceremony of the Lions Club of Bintangor and the Leo Club of SMK Kai Chung 2025 was held with great significance at Kim Hock Lim Restaurant here on Saturday evening, graced by Meradong Assemblyman, Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing.

In his address, Datuk Ding congratulated the newly appointed committee members, encouraging them to take their appointments as the beginning of renewed spirit in serving the community.

“The Lions Club of Bintangor has long been active in supporting the community through charity, education, and social development programmes.

Tonight, I also wish to commend our young Leos of SMK Kai Chung for stepping up to leadership roles. Your participation proves that our youth are ready to take responsibility and serve with courage,” he said.

Datuk Ding also stressed the importance of instilling values of care, volunteerism, and unity in every activity, noting that even small efforts carried out with sincerity can leave a big impact on society.

As part of his commitment, Datuk Ding announced a special Minor Rural Project (MRP) grant of RM10,000 to the Lions Club of Bintangor and the Leo Club of SMK Kai Chung to support their annual programmes.

The evening highlighted the Lions’ long-standing tradition of service and the Leo Club’s role in nurturing the next generation of young leaders, united under the Lions’ enduring motto, “We Serve.”

The ceremony was also attended by distinguished guests including Presiding Officer President JCI Ling Mee Ngiik, District Governor JCI, Dato Winnie Lee, and Immediate Past District Governor JCI, Annie Ho. -UKASnews
