SEMOP: The Mukah Division Land and Survey Department (JTS) has channelled RM30,000 in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds to Kampung Sebako and Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Sebako.

Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Corporate Affairs, Information and UKAS), Datuk Abdullah Saidol, said that beyond carrying out its official duties as a government agency, JTS also provides assistance that directly benefits the people.

At the event, RM10,000 was handed over to the Sebako Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK), Daro, while RM20,000 was allocated to SK Sebako.

He said the contribution could be used to improve village infrastructure and support the school’s development, which in turn would enhance the quality of education for children as the future generation.

“I hope these contributions will be fully utilised for the common good. The success of development programmes does not rely solely on the role of government but also requires close cooperation between community leaders, schools, parents and the wider community,” he said during the CSR handover ceremony on Friday.

Datuk Abdullah, who is also the Semop assemblyman, expressed his congratulations and appreciation to JTS Mukah Division for the initiative.

“This contribution is expected to provide lasting and meaningful benefits to both the school and the villagers,” he added.

Also present were Daro District Officer Zul Usup, Mukah Division Land and Survey Superintendent Dahari Anis, and Daro District Education Office representative Ayub Hassim. -UKASnews
