ASAJAYA: Kampung Sampun Kelili in Asajaya will benefit from the Sarawak government's development plans, especially in improving its infrastructure.
Sarawak Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts (MTCP), Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah said, current plans include the expansion of village roads and the installation of streetlights leading to the village.
“The proposal to expand village roads in Kampung Sampun Kelili, Sampung Gerunggang, Sampun Tebun, and Sampun Baru will be raised at upcoming meeting of the Integrated Regional Samarahan Development Agency (IRSDA).
“In addition, the expansion projects of the Batang Samarahan and Batang Sadong bridges, with a total cost of RM500,000, is expected to start soon,” he said.
He said this during his speech at the Asajaya District Gawai Dayak Celebration 2024 on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Dato Sri Abdul Karim who is also the Sarawak Minister for Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development (MYSED) said that the harmony and unity of the multi-ethnic community in Sarawak facilitate the government's planning of important developments in the future.
As such, he hopes that the approved and planned development projects will benefit the villagers and increase their income.
