SARIKEI: All leaders and members of the Sarawak United People's Party (SUPP) are called to work together to serve the public.

Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability, Dato’ Sri Huang Tiong Sii also urged the party members to always strive to develop and benefit the people.

The Repok Assemblyman said this during SUPP's 65th Anniversary Celebration held at Repok Service Centre here, on Tuesday.

In his speech, the Member of Parliament for Sarikei also thanked the Deputy Premier of Sarawak and President of SUPP, Datuk Amar Professor Dr Sim Kui Hian for his wisdom in driving the party in continuing to grow towards better prospects.

Meanwhile, in conjunction with this anniversary celebration, a flag raising ceremony was held at 8 a.m. at the Repok Service Centre accompanied by the SUPP party anthem.

The 65th anniversary was also celebrated simultaneously at all SUPP branches in Sarawak.

For the record, SUPP is the oldest political party in Sarawak, founded in 1959 to fight for the Sarawakians and the interests of the state. -UKAnews
