KUCHING: Sarawak, which is rich in cultural diversity, continues to highlight its uniqueness and beauty through the understanding, warmth and camaraderie of various races that have been beautifully embroidered for a long time.
Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier's Department (Corporate Affairs, Information and UKAS) Datuk Abdullah Saidol said, it was clearly evident during the Gawai Dayak Day celebration which is celebrated with enthusiasm every year in appreciation of the abundance of agricultural produce and the blessings bestowed upon them.
Accordingly, he hoped that the spirit of unity and togetherness among the community could be maintained towards developing Sarawak as an excellent and glorious region.
"We maintain this atmosphere because we want to move forward to make the earth prosperous for all Sarawakians that we are proud of.
"Every festival of various races and customs in Sarawak belongs to us together and is celebrated with pleasure.
"To all friends, acquaintances who are Dayak in particular, as well as the citizens of Kenyalang in general, Happy Dayak Gawai Day!" he said.
He said this in a special speech in conjunction with Gawai Dayak 2024 published by the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) on Friday. - UKASnews
