MATU: A total of 14 houses have been completed under the Minor Rural Project - Sarawak Poor Home Improvement Project (MRP-PPRMS) involving Kampung Jemoreng, Kampung Sekaan and Kampung Tian, Matu.
Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier's Department (Integrity and Ombudsman), Dato' Murshid Diraja Dr. Juanda Jaya on Sunday handed over payment cheques to contractors and visited the location of the completed project.
According to the Jemoreng Assemblyman, the implementation of this project reflects the Sarawak Government's concern in ensuring that the people, especially in rural areas, enjoy more comfortable and safe living facilities.
"The state government will continue to implement projects like this so that the residents can enjoy a more peaceful life," he stressed.
The local community also expressed its appreciation to the Sarawak Government for the initiative which has provided great benefits and improved their quality of life.
