KUCHING: Alumaster, through its Classic Emas brand, has become the first aluminium provider in Sarawak to obtain dual certification from SIRIM and the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), marking a significant advancement for the state’s construction sector.
Managing Director, William Koh, said the recognition reflects the company’s four decades of experience and its ability to adapt to evolving housing designs.
“Architects today are building higher and taller, and our systems must evolve to meet those demands. Certification ensures we comply with international standards and remain competitive,” he said.
The certification process, which took one and a half years, evaluated Alumaster’s PCW 1000 Window System and PSD 1000 Sliding Door System.
Both products were tested for wind load resistance, energy efficiency, and noise reduction capabilities through double-glass technology.
Koh also highlighted aluminium’s sustainability as a key strength, noting its recyclability rate of more than 90 per cent.
“Unlike wood, aluminium can be recycled efficiently, making our solutions not only durable but also environmentally responsible,” he explained.
With this achievement, Alumaster combines the Classic Emas legacy with modern innovation, offering developers and homeowners in Sarawak greater assurance in safe, sustainable, and future-ready housing solutions. -UKASnews
