PUSA: Parents are encouraged to motivate their children to pursue technical or vocational education as an alternative to continue their academic journey in universities.
In this regard, Beting Maro Assemblyman, Razaili Gapor advised students who did not achieve excellent results in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2023 exam to pursue vocational trainings at any government vocational institutions.
“Parents are encouraged to motivate their children to engage in skill-based fields, particularly in food processing or other skills, as these areas also open up many opportunities for the younger generation to advance in their careers,” he added.
He said this in his speech during the N29 Beting Maro Mantar Gawai Dayak event held at SK Muton, Undai Pusa on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Batang Lupar Member of Parliament, Mohamad Shafizan Kepli also chimed in regarding his concerns about the performances of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Pusa’s students in SPM 2023.
“I hope that parents throughout Beting Maro emphasise the importance of education to their children in school so that they do not fall behind in their studies and achieve excellent results,” he said.
Also present during the celebration were Special Officer to the Premier of Sarawak, Dato Bujang Helmi Hazemi, Deputy Resident of Betong Division, En Mahra Bin Saleh, Acting District Officer of Pusa, Jemain Wahab, and other distinguished guests. -UKASnews
