MADANI Community Strengthens Role As Catalyst For Unity & Harmony

ASAJAYA: MADANI Community continues to strengthen its role as a catalyst for unity and harmony among the people at the grassroots level through the organisation of the MADANI Community JIWA Programme and the Leaders' Meeting with the People which was held lively at the Panca Delima Hall, SMK Hajjah Laila Taib here on Saturday.

Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development and Kota Samarahan Member of Parliament, Datuk Rubiah Wang said that this programme is in line with the aspirations of a MADANI Malaysia led by Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, based on the values of inclusiveness, unity and the well-being of the people.

She stressed that the MADANI Community functions as a channel for delivering accurate and effective government information to the people at the grassroots level, in addition to playing an important role in combating the spread of fake news.

"According to the Economic Planning Unit (EPU) report, areas that are active in implementing the MADANI Community initiative have recorded an increase of up to 40 percent in the level of people's understanding of government policies since 2023," she said when opening the programme organised by the Samarahan District Information Department (JAPEN).

Various interesting contents also enlivened the programme including a Community Pentarama performance, MA63 Talk session, distribution of official information materials as well as interaction sessions with local leaders and communities.

Also present were the Deputy Director of JAPEN Sarawak Sri Kestury Mohammed Zamhari, Special Administrative Officer (IRISDA) Anuar Da'an, Asajaya District Officer Jerry Zannuddin, Samarahan Division Malay Temenggong Chek Bujang and Principal of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Hajjah Laila Taib Usti Dolhan. -UKASnews
