Dato Sri Fatimah Reviews Implementation Of Development Projects In Dalat

DALAT: Minister of Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development, Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah conducted a working visit to several development project sites around Dalat, on Thursday.

The Dalat Assemblywoman began the visit at the Centre of Technical Excellence (CENTEXS) Dalat Campus, which is expected to serve as the main technical and vocational training hub in rural areas, especially to increase educational and skills opportunities among youth.

Next, Dato Sri Fatimah also reviewed the development of the Dalat Organic Fertiliser Processing Centre in Teparok, which was developed as an initiative to drive sustainable agriculture and this centre will utilise local agricultural waste to produce quality organic fertiliser, supporting efforts to increase agricultural productivity in an environmentally friendly manner.

The visit continued to several projects under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) which are currently being actively implemented, mainly focusing on improving basic infrastructure and public safety to improve the quality of life of local residents.

Among the projects visited was the construction of a protective embankment at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Kut Tengah, built to overcome the risk of erosion and flooding that affect the safety of students and school staff.

In addition, Dato Sri Fatimah also visited the embankment construction project site at Muara Sungai Ud Phase 1, which will safeguard the well-being of the community, especially during the rainy season and the high tide phenomenon.

Also present during the visit were Deputy Sarawak Secretary (Administration), Datu Buckland Bangik, Mukah Division Resident, Datu Kueh Lei Poh and Dalat District Officer, Mathew Hubert. -UKASnews
