KUCHING: Sarawak Governor, Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi received a courtesy visit from Singapore Minister for Manpower and Minister-in-Charge of Science, Technology and Energy, Dr. Tan See Leng at the Astana Negeri Sarawak today.

During the courtesy call, Dr. Tan engaged in discussions and shared insights on various matters, particularly the development of legal reforms, the implementation of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) as well as holistic upskilling and reskilling initiatives, especially those aimed at benefiting rural communities in Sarawak.

Dr. Tan also extended an invitation to the Sarawak Governor to make an official visit to Singapore in the near future.

Earlier, the Singapore delegation also paid a courtesy visit to the Premier of Sarawak at Kompleks Satria Pertiwi, the newly inaugurated administrative complex for the Premier of Sarawak.

The Singapore delegation also included Assistant Chief Executive Officer of the Energy Market Authority (EMA), Eugene Toh, Chief Executive Officer of Singapore Energy Interconnections (5GE), Ong Teng Koon, and Senior Assistant Director at the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Serena Chan.

Also present was Director of the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sarawak Regional Office, Fenny Nuli. -UKASnews
