KUCHING: The passing of the late Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang is regarded not only as a profound loss to Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg and his family, but also to Sarawakians as a whole.

Sarawak Governor, Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said the late Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani will be remembered as a resilient and dedicated individual who played a significant role as a pillar of strength to the Sarawak Premier throughout his administration and political journey.

“She was the source of strength and the Premier’s steadfast supporter throughout his 48-year political journey.

“She endured countless challenges, obstacles, and hardships faced by the Premier, and served as his strength and inspiration,” he said in a statement issued by Astana Negeri Sarawak on Monday.

Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Wan Junaidi also described the well-known adage, ‘behind every great man is a great woman’, as a fitting reflection of the role played by the late Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani as a wife who not only provided unwavering support behind the scenes, but also significantly contributed to the Sarawak Premier’s personal resilience and leadership.

The Head of State added that beyond her role within her family, the late Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani was also known as a highly respected woman who was actively involved in charitable and community work, demonstrating her compassionate, caring nature and continuous emotional support for both her family and the wider community.

“This reflects her as a steadfast woman, responsible, emotionally supportive, and instrumental in strengthening both the household and the Premier’s career.

“She fully understood the duty and responsibility borne by the Premier as the head of Sarawak leadership,” he said.

Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Wan Junaidi and Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi also prayed that the late Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani’s soul will be showered with divine blessings, her sins forgiven, and that she will be placed among the righteous.

He also expressed hope that the Sarawak Premier and his entire family will be granted strength and resilience in facing this sorrowful moment of loss. -UKASnews
