KUCHING: Sarawak mourns the loss of Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang, wife of Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg, who passed away in the early hours of this morning at Normah Medical Centre here.

The late Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani breathed her last at 3.34 a.m. at the age of 76.

According to an official statement from the Office of the Premier of Sarawak, a final tribute ceremony will take place at Masjid Jamek, Petra Jaya from 10 a.m. to 12 noon to allow members of the public to pay their last respects.

She will be laid to rest at Tanah Perkuburan Islam Semariang, Petra Jaya.

The late Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani was the daughter of the second Sarawak Governor, the late Tun Datuk Patinggi Tuanku Bujang Tuanku Othman.

She also served as the President of Sarawak Badan Amal Tenaga Isteri-Isteri (SABATI).

The late Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani and the Sarawak Premier were blessed with two children, Dato Abang Abdillah Izzarim and Dayang Norjihan. -UKASnews
