SIBU: 35 officers from various agencies under the Sarawak Civil Service (SCS) attended the Organisational Quality Ecosystem (OQE) Review Workshop for the implementation of the Sarawak Civil Service Environmental Standards (SaCSES), held at a hotel, here from 9 to 10 June.
Organised by the Sarawak Transformation and Innovation Unit (STIU), the workshop aimed to introduce SaCSES as a replacement for the previous conducive ecosystem initiative, aligning with standards that better suit the SCS context.
According to STIU Director, Superi Awang Said, SaCSES is developed based on the principles of OQE, with emphasis on fostering a work environment that is high-quality, systematic, safe, conducive, and resilient.
“This session is crucial to reassess the principles of OQE based on past implementation experiences, identify constraints and challenges, and draft SaCSES guidelines that are more suitable for SCS needs,” he said in a press statement on Tuesday.
Superi added that the workshop also served as a platform to ensure coordination and shared understanding among participating agencies, with the aim of strengthening a culture of quality, systematic, safe, conducive, and resilient work practices across the SCS.
He noted that this effort also supports the state government's transformation agenda to enhance the effectiveness of the civil service. -UKASnews
