KUCHING: The Sarawak–Malaysia My Second Home (S-MM2H) programme continues to receive strong interest with nearly 600 applications approved throughout last year.

Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts, Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah said Sarawak has become an attractive destination due to its safe environment, quality healthcare services, and good education opportunities.

“Many applicants from Europe and China have chosen Sarawak for its safety and access to quality medical facilities, particularly among the elderly who prioritise healthcare.

“In addition, many parents from Korea have sent their children to study at schools here, such as Tunku Putra, and have also applied for the S-MM2H programme,” he said.

He told reporters after officiating the Lions Clubs International District 308-A2 Leo Forum 2025 held at Raia Hotel and Convention Centre, here on Thursday.

Dato Sri Abdul Karim also projected that the number of approved applications this year will remain about the same. -UKASnews
