KUCHING: Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg graced the Appointment Ceremony of Commission Members of the Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) for the term from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2028, held at the Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) Complex on Monday.
The ceremony aimed to introduce and formalise the appointment of the DBKU Commission Members who will contribute to the strategic development and administration of Kuching North.
The appointments are in line with DBKU’s aspiration to strengthen inclusive, transparent, and responsive governance that meets the needs of the community.
A total of 10 individuals were appointed for the new term, namely Sarawak Attorney General, Dato Sri Saferi Ali; Sarawak Financial Secretary, Dato Sri Dr. Wan Lizozman Wan Omar; Deputy Sarawak Secretary (Economic Planning and Development), Dato Sri Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Zaidel; Director of the Sarawak Land and Survey Department, Awang Zamhari Awang Mahmood; Director of the Sarawak Public Works Department, Dr. Cassidy Morris; Sih Hua Tong; Ir. Talhah@Talha Affendi; Abdul Baderi Sahmat; Iskandar Sharkawi; and Abdul Adzim Adzmi Abdul Rahman.
The DBKU Commission Members will play a key role in linking the community with the city administration, formulating policies, and ensuring citizen participation in the physical and socio-economic development of Kuching North.
