KUCHING: Kuching South City Council (MBKS) received a courtesy visit from the District Police Chief of Kuching, Assistant Commissioner of Police Alexson Naga Chabu, accompanied by senior police officers, in a meeting held with MBKS Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng, at MBKS Headquarters.
Also present were MBKS Deputy Mayor, Dato Zaiedi Suhaili, and senior council officers.
The meeting served as a meaningful platform to discuss strategies to enhance cooperation between MBKS and the Royal Malaysia Police in ensuring the safety and well-being of the people of Kuching.
Among the key topics discussed were community policing, crime prevention initiatives, and joint efforts to promote Kuching as a safe and liveable city.
Dato Wee expressed his sincere appreciation to the police force for their continued dedication and tireless efforts in maintaining peace and public order across the city.
He commended the police for their responsiveness and professionalism in addressing community safety concerns.
"We are thankful to ACP Alexson and his team for their commitment and ongoing support. MBKS fully supports the efforts of the Royal Malaysia Police and looks forward to even closer collaboration in future initiatives and programmes that prioritise the safety of our residents," said Dato Wee.
Dato Wee added that MBKS will continue to support the police in every way possible and welcomes future collaborations to strengthen safety initiatives across the city.
