KUCHING: Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Sarawak (TEGAS) welcomed three significant delegation visits on Friday at TEGAS Digital Village (TDV), strengthening its role in driving Sarawak’s digital economy and talent development.
TEGAS Chief Executive Officer, Udin Bujang, welcomed representatives from the German-Malaysian Institute (GMI), in a strategic follow-up to TEGAS’s courtesy visit to GMI in 2022.
The discussion focused on potential collaboration in technical and vocational education and training (TVET) to equip Sarawakian youth with industry-ready skills.
Meanwhile, TEGAS received a 30 member delegation from Pemuda, Wanita dan Belia Cawangan Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Kuala Rajang toured TDV to learn about its digital empowerment initiatives, including startup incubation and community outreach.
In a separate engagement, 97 Year 7 students from Yayasan Sarawak International Secondary School (YSISS) Sibu explored STEM learning through an interactive session organised by TEGAS Community Innovative Learning (TCIL).
This hands-on experience showcased how TEGAS continues to bridge opportunity gaps between B40 and M20 students, many of whom were visiting a tech innovation space for the first time.
These visits underscore TEGAS’ dedication to inclusive innovation, education access, and strategic partnerships, ensuring Sarawak’s youth are prepared for the digital future.
