TEBEDU: Serian has been selected as the third location in the Sarawak Department of Agriculture’s series of divisional Agrofest roadshows, leading up to the main Sarawak Agrofest 2025 event scheduled to take place from 22 to 31 August 2025 in Bintulu.

The three-day Serian Agrofest 2025 aims to attract around 4,000 visitors and generate an estimated RM100,000 in revenue through exhibitions showcasing the latest products and technologies in the agricultural sector.

The event is held at Dataran Mutiara, Tebedu, from 2.30 pm to 5.00 pm, and is organised by the Serian Divisional Department of Agriculture.

A total of 62 exhibition booths are featured this year, comprising 30 government agency booths and 32 booths by entrepreneurs and private companies.

A livestock showcase is also among the key attractions of the festival.

Participating agencies include the Sarawak Department of Agriculture, the Department of Veterinary Services Sarawak, the Sarawak Rubber Industry Board (SARIB), and several active private agricultural firms operating in the state.

Adding to the vibrancy of the festival is the “Panu Birantan” or Gawai Parade, which brings together the Dayak communities—including the Bidayuh, Iban and Orang Ulu—alongside Malay and Chinese participants from the Serian Division, symbolising Sarawak’s unity in diversity.
