KUCHING: The Kuching South City Council (MBKS) will set up a dedicated open counter at the MBKS Lobby on Friday, 23 May 2025, from 8:30am to 12:00pmto assist members of the public with a range of government-related applications.
This initiative is part of MBKS’ ongoing efforts to enhance public access to essential services and ensure that vulnerable groups such as senior citizens and students receive the support they need.
Officers stationed at the counter will provide guidance and assistance for Kenyalang Gold Card and Senior Citizen Health Benefit (SCHB) programme for senior citizens; Special Financial Assistance (Bantuan Kewangan Khas) under Yayasan Sarawak for eligible students; and Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) under NADI, a direct assistance programme for qualifying individuals in the B40 and M40 income groups.
Applicants are required to bring their Identity card (IC); Marriage, death, or divorce certificate; Bank account details (bank name and account number only); Spouse’s details (IC and bank account); and children’s IC (for those below 18 years old; for those above 18, proof of enrolment at a public/private higher education institution is required).
Applicants for Skim Keselamatan Sosial Pekerjaan Sendiri (SKSPS) under PERKESO are advised to bring their IC, Trade license (optional) and s. Smartphone for online payment via app (optional).
Meanwhile, applicants for the Skim Keselamatan Social Suri Rumah (SKSSR) under PERKESO must bring their IC (Applicants must be below 54 years old).
In addition to the above services, MBKS will also provide e E-Billing registration and advisory services for matters related to assessment rates, as well as an Affin Bank service counter to facilitate applications for the Kenyalang Debit Card.
