KUCHING: Senator Dato’ Ahmad Ibrahim, Patron of Kelab Muay Thai Kenyalang, hosted a celebratory luncheon on Saturday to honour the club’s outstanding achievement as the Overall Champion of the TYT Cup 2025.

The event, held at ABC Indian Cuisine in Batu Kawa, was attended by the athletes, coaches, management team, and supporters of the club in a warm and appreciative atmosphere.

Kelab Muay Thai Kenyalang made a remarkable impact in the tournament with 23 Gold Medals, 7 Silver Medals, 4 Best Boxer Awards, 1 Special Award and the 2nd Place Overall for the Borneo Cup.

According to Dato' Ahmad, this victory is a clear testament to the capabilities of local young talents to make a name for themselves and bring pride to both Sarawak and Malaysia.

“As the Patron of this club, I am extremely proud of their achievements. This is solid proof that our athletes can compete and win at the highest levels. I will continue to support them in their preparation for SUKMA and, perhaps, even the SEA Games if Muay Thai is contested,” he said.

He further called on all stakeholders – the government, private sector, and community – to continue supporting the development of Muay Thai in Sarawak as a platform for nurturing disciplined, competitive youth.-UKASnews
