KUCHING: Six startups co-founded by Sarawakians have been selected to participate in the second cohort of the Scale Sarawak Programme — a high-impact initiative spearheaded by Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Sarawak (TEGAS) in collaboration with Endeavor Malaysia.

This is the second collaboration between TEGAS and Endeavor Malaysia, supporting the Sarawak government’s continued efforts to drive digital entrepreneurship and economic innovation in the region.

From May to October 2025, SOL Digital, Belibeli Super App, OINC, Noms Fochun Founders, Kosa Coffee and Satok Bridge Digital will undergo an intensive entrepreneurial development experience under the programme.

Designed to accelerate the growth of promising Sarawak-based ventures, Scale Sarawak delivers strategic support including one-on-one mentorship, targeted capacity-building sessions, and exclusive networking opportunities.

The programme connects founders with established industry players and seasoned mentors, offering access to Endeavor’s globally recognised ecosystem of entrepreneurial expertise.

Deputy Minister of Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment Sarawak, Datuk Len Talif Salleh, who is also TEGAS Chairman, highlighted the broader objective of the initiative.

“This programme is about nurturing Sarawak’s entrepreneurial talent by equipping them the tools, guidance and exposure needed to thrive in the digital economy. It prepares our entrepreneurs to grow and compete, both locally and globally in line with the aspirations of the Sarawak Digital Economy Strategy 2030 and the Post-COVID-19 Development Strategy.”

Endeavor Malaysia Managing Director Shan Li Tay added: “At Endeavor, we believe in the power of scaling entrepreneurs to transform communities and economies.

"Through Scale Sarawak, we are excited to help Sarawakian founders tap into a global mindset and build ventures that can grow from Kuching to the world.”

The programme's hands-on approach ensures participants receive tailored guidance aligned with their startup's growth stage.

A dedicated programme manager will support the startups throughout, with regular progress reviews, group mentoring, and peer learning sessions forming the backbone of the experience.

Through Scale Sarawak, TEGAS is building a strong foundation for a thriving, innovation- ed startup ecosystem that is uniquely Sarawakian driving inclusive growth and digital transformation across the region.-UKASnews
