SADA Continues To Drive Strategic Development In Sri Aman

SRI AMAN: The Sri Aman Development Agency (SADA) continues to play its role as the main driver of strategic development in the Sri Aman area, covering the districts of Sri Aman, Pantu, Lingga and Lubok Antu with a total area of ​​5,628 square kilometres.

Recently, a special briefing session was held by SADA to the Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier's Department (Project Coordinator for Regional Development Agencies, DBKU and Islamic Affairs), Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi.

The briefing was delivered by SADA's Special Administrative Officer, Alfred Geling, which aimed to provide a comprehensive explanation of the agency's role and function in planning and implementing various development projects in the Sri Aman area.

The Sarawak government has previously allocated RM1.5 billion to each regional development agency including SADA to implement various infrastructure, agricultural, economic and social projects in rural areas.

This briefing programme shows the Sarawak Government's continued commitment in ensuring comprehensive, inclusive and balanced development throughout the state, especially in rural areas.

Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman in his speech stressed that implementing agencies must play a proactive role to ensure that all instructions are implemented without compromise.

He also stressed the importance of strong cooperation between all parties including RDA, implementing agencies and monitoring agencies to ensure that planned projects can be completed on schedule and have a positive impact on the people.

He also touched on the establishment of a Special Committee which will function as a catalyst for a more efficient and effective service delivery system, in line with the government's aspiration to develop rural and urban areas in a balanced manner.

In addition, he reminded all contractors who have received a Letter of Appointment (LOA) to commence field work within 30 days from the date of the LOA.
