KUCHING: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim safely arrived at the Kuching International Airport (KIA) for a one-day official working visit to Kuching today.

His arrival, via an official aeroplane at around 10 am, was welcomed by Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg.

Also present were Sarawak Deputy Premier, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Sarawak Cabinet Ministers, Sarawak Secretary, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, Sarawak Deputy Ministers and Heads of Departments.

Upon arrival, the Prime Minister and his entourage headed straight to Wisma Bapa Malaysia to chair the Sarawak Special Development Meeting.

After the meeting, the Prime Minister and the Sarawak Premier will attend the Aidilfitri Madani 2025 Celebration Ceremony at the Kuching Perpaduan Stadium at around noon the same day.

He is also expected to attend the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (KPWKM) Ramah Tamah Aidilfitri and Open House at Wisma SABATI at 2 pm.

The Prime Minister and his entourage are expected to depart for the capital at 3.15 pm in the evening. - UKASnews
