ASAJAYA: Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development and Kota Samarahan Member of Parliament, Datuk Rubiah Wang had the opportunity to celebrate 243 asnaf in the Asajaya area through the P197 Samarahan Prihatin 2025 Programme which took place at the Darul Rahmah Mosque, Kampung Tambirat Lot here, on Friday.

This annual programme is an initiative organised by her to help the less fortunate, especially ahead of the arrival of the month of Ramadan and Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

According to Datuk Rubiah, programmes like this are not just aid but also a sign of concern and moral support for those in need.

"I hope that with the assistance provided, the asnaf can feel a little space and happiness and celebrate Ramadan and Aidilfitri with full joy," he said.

During this programme, the Samarahan Baitulmal Fund also donated pelikat cloth to male asnaf and telekung to female asnaf.

Datuk Rubiah took the opportunity to express his appreciation to all parties involved including the Asajaya District Office, the Kota Samarahan Service Centre, the Kampung Tambirat Lot Community Head and volunteers who worked hard to ensure the success of the programme.

"Without the support and hard work from all parties, this programme would not have been possible to be implemented smoothly and effectively," he added.

Also present were Asajaya District Officer Jerry Zannuddin Bidin, Head of the Samarahan Baitulmal Fund Division Norzahan Bahani, Temenggong of the Malay Community of Samarahan Division Chek Bujang, Penghulu of Kampung Tambirat Tamel Mohamad and representatives of relevant agencies.-UKASnews
