KOTA SAMARAHAN: Superintendent Damataries Lautin has been officially appointed as the new Kota Samarahan Officer in Charge of Police District (OCPD), effective today.
He replaces DSP Jaimi Husin who will begin his duties as the Deputy District Police Chief of Serian.
The handover ceremony between the two senior police officers took place at the Kota Samarahan District Police Headquarters (IPD) Multi-Purpose Hall witnessed by Sarawak Police Commissioner, Dato' Mancha Ata.
In his speech, Superintendent Damataries Lautin, who previously held the position of Lundu District Police Chief, pledged to carry out his new mandate with full responsibility to ensure that the security and peace of the district is maintained.
Meanwhile, Dato' Mancha Ata expressed his appreciation to Jaimi Husin for his commitment and dedication throughout his year leading the Kota Samarahan District Police Headquarters (IPD).
He also hoped that DSP Damataries Lautin could continue his excellence in ensuring peace and well-being of the community in this district.
For the record, DSP Jaimi Husin has been entrusted with the position of acting Superintendent as Kota Samarahan District Police Chief for a year since 4 March 2024 before being transferred to Serian IPD.
Also present at the ceremony were Sarawak Deputy Police Commissioner, DCP Saifullizan Ishak; Head of the Sarawak IPK Management Department, SAC Rizal Abd Rahman Sidek; and Head of the Sarawak IPK Criminal Investigation Department, SAC Lim San Aik.-UKASnews
