KUCHING: Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg continued his activities in the month of Ramadan by attending the Breaking of Fast and Maghrib, Isyak, and Tarawih Prayers with Leaders and the Community programme held at the Sarawak Legislative Assembly Complex on Monday.

The programme, attended by more than 500 people, began with Iftar, followed by Maghrib prayers before the guests enjoyed dinner.

Also present were Sarawak Deputy Premiers, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas and Datuk Amar Professor Dr. Sim Kui Hian, Speaker of the Sarawak Legislative Assembly, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nasar, Ministers, Sarawak Secretary, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, Deputy Ministers, heads of departments and community leaders.

Meanwhile, the Isyak and Tarawih prayers were led by the Grand Imam of Sarawak, Dato Mustapha Kamal at the surau of the Sarawak Legislative Assembly.

Aside from strengthening relationships between leaders and the community, this programme also served as a platform to strengthen unity with the presence of Muslim and non-Muslim leaders in celebrating the month of Ramadan. -UKASnews
