KUALA LUMPUR: Actions to incite polemics and play politics on every issue by certain parties in this country must be stopped for the sake of Malaysia's progress.
Senator Pele Peter Tinggom said, the Royal Address of His Majesty the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar regarding political polemics is very accurate considering the recent incidents that have occurred recently.
He said, His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong stated to stop actions to incite polemics and play politics on every issue and to not only care about the survival of his own group.
"This is so that we can move forward, unite, move forward, be one in heart, always together as Malaysians and continue to move forward overcoming all obstacles for the sake of the country we love," he said.
He said this while debating the Royal Address of the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong at the opening of the Fourth Session of the 15th Parliament recently.
Pele also welcomed the Royal Address which continued to invite Malaysians to pray for Malaysia to continue to progress and prosper, to be peaceful and to enjoy a perfect, happy and prosperous life for all its people.
Meanwhile, he also expressed his congratulations to Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg who was awarded the ‘World’s Outstanding Muslim Leader Award 2024’ at the recent ASEAN Business and Economic Forum.
He said the award recognised his visionary leadership, dedication and extraordinary contributions in developing the economy and strengthening Sarawak’s position.
“The award also recognises his commitment to sustainability, digital transformation and inclusive growth which has made Sarawak a model of prosperity in ASEAN and around the world,” he added. -UKASnews
