KUCHING: Minister of Works, Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi and his delegation paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas at Wisma Bapa Malaysia on Tuesday.
During the courtesy call, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah held bilateral discussions between the two parties including a presentation of the latest status of existing projects in Sarawak to strengthen the strategic relationship between the Federal Government and the Sarawak Government in the development of state infrastructure.
In a media statement on Tuesday, the Sarawak Public Works Department (JKR) also highlighted a cheque handover ceremony for a flood relief aid totalling RM50,000 by the Malaysian Bumiputera Contractors Association (PKBM) to the Sarawak State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC).
The cheque was presented by PKBM President, Datuk Azman Yusoff to Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah who is also the Chairman of SDMC.
Among those present were Deputy Minister of Works, Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Works (KKR), Dato' Seri Azman Ibrahim, KKR Deputy Secretary-General (Management), Dato' Zainal Alhakab Seman, KKR Deputy Secretary-General (Policy and Development), Dato' Mohd Sakeri Abdul Kadir, Director-General of Works, Datuk Wira Ir. Roslan Ismail, Director-General of the Malaysian Highway Authority, Dato' Ir. Sazali Harun, Chief Executive of CIDB Malaysia, Zainora Zainal, and JKR Sarawak Director, Ir. Ts. Gs. Br.
