PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister, Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Wednesday announced a salary increase of more than 13 per cent for civil servants starting this December.
He said the increase involved an allocation of more than RM10 billion.
"The increase is higher than 13 per cent," he said while inaugurating the National Labour Day 2024 celebration at the Putrajaya International Convention Center (PICC) on Wednesday.
Also present were Deputy Prime Ministers, Datuk Patinggi Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Dato Sri Fadillah Yusof, and Human Resources Minister, Steven Sim Chee Keong.
Also present were Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali, Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Services (Cuepacs) President, Seri Dr Adnan Mat and the President of the Malaysian Employers' Federation (MEF), Datuk Dr Syed Hussain Syed Husman. -UKASnews
