Held twice a month, the programme serves as a key platform to unite the community in a relaxed, healthy, and eco-friendly setting.

The kick-off event for Kuching Car Free Morning 2025 was officiated by Deputy Minister for Utility and Telecommunication, Datuk Dr. Abdul Rahman Junaidi who represented Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg.

He further explained that the event has received an enthusiastic response, with many locals participating in activities such as walking, cycling, jogging, exercising, and other recreational pursuits.

The programme also offers the public a chance to experience the city without motor vehicle disruptions, effectively reducing air pollution.
