BINTANGOR: In a continuous effort to foster education and strengthen community ties in Bintangor, Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier's Department (Corporate Affairs, Information and UKAS), Datuk Abdullah Saidol, made a meaningful contribution of RM8,000 during a local programme on Friday.
The Semop Assemblyman took the opportunity during a gathering at SJK (C) Ming Shing to present Minor Rural Project (MRP) grants to three recipients, reinforcing his commitment to supporting local initiatives.
In his speech, Datuk Abdullah stressed the importance of education as the cornerstone of societal advancement. As a gesture of support, he contributed RM2,000 to the school’s Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG) and RM3,000 to the School Board, ensuring that their annual activities can proceed smoothly.
The event also provided a platform for Datuk Abdullah to foster stronger relationships with the community, marked by the presentation of Chinese New Year 2025 gifts to teachers, students, and community leaders.
Further reflecting his dedication to community well-being, Datuk Abdullah extended a contribution of RM3,000 to the Chinese Community Village Development and Security Committees (JKKK) of Sungai Sian, Bintangor, to support their upcoming Chinese New Year celebration banquet. -UKASnews
