PUSA: The Beladin branch of the Islamic Welfare Organisation of Malaysia (PERKIM) has been set up to boost religious activities in the mostly Muslim community of Beladin, Pusa.

During the closing ceremony of the branch’s first Annual General Meeting (AGM), Beting Maro Assemblyman, Razaili Gapor highlighted that the establishment of PERKIM Beladin was a meaningful step to strengthen religious unity and community ties.

“With 92% of Beladin’s population being Muslims, having PERKIM here is timely.

“This organisation can lead important programmes to support the spiritual and social needs of the people,” he said during the ceremony held on Saturday.

Razaili announced a grant of RM3,000 to support PERKIM Beladin’s activities.

He also encouraged the branch to make full use of mosques as centres for religious learning and community programmes. -UKASnews
