SARIKEI: The Service Centre team of Federal Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability, Dato' Sri Huang Tiong Sii, continued its initiative of distributing school uniforms and shoes for the 2025 school term to students from 10 schools in urban and rural areas of Bintangor on Thursday.

Representing Dato' Sri Huang, Gung Chiu Kion led the distribution programme, ensuring that students received the essential items to prepare for the new school year.

Schools involved included SJKC Ming Shing, SK Sg Sian, SK Sg Selidap, SK Tanjung Bundung, SK Bukit Papit, SJKC Ming Tee, SJKC Ming Lu, SJKC Ming Ching, SMK Bandar Bintangor, and SK Gemuan.

Dato' Sri Huang emphasised the importance of education and his commitment to addressing the needs of students in his constituency.

“I treat the areas of Meradong and Repok equally, providing school uniforms and shoes to students since becoming a representative," he said in a statement.

Parents and schools expressed their gratitude, acknowledging the significance of the assistance can ease financial burdens and ensuring students are well-prepared for their education. -UKASnews
