BINTULU: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) strives for political victories and is dedicated to improving the people’s well-being and ensuring the party remains relevant in facing future challenges.

PBB Deputy President, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hassan, emphasised that the party’s success is not solely measured by election wins but also by continuous efforts to fight for the rights and development of the people.

“Without a majority, we lose power. And without power, how can we continue to fight for our people?” he said during his speech at the inauguration of the PBB Jepak Branch Delegates Meeting for the 2024-2027 session, held at a hotel here on Sunday.

According to Datuk Amar Awang Tengah, PBB’s struggles encompass various aspects, including education, talent development, and improving the quality of life for the people.

“Changes happen rapidly. If we do not keep up with these developments, people will see our party as irrelevant. We must stay relevant while maintaining our principles and policies,” he added.

He also praised Bintulu’s rapid development as a major investment hub, which he attributed to the dedicated efforts of PBB’s leadership.

“Bintulu’s transformation is not by chance. It is the result of the hard work of our leaders. We want PBB Jepak to stay relevant with these changes and to become a key contributor to the district and state’s growth,” he said.

Additionally, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah urged party members to ensure the success of more entrepreneurs and business owners while encouraging the youth to serve with progressive thinking.

He further highlighted Sarawak’s success in regaining control of Bintulu Port through the Malaysia Agreement 1963 as evidence of PBB’s strong commitment.

“This is the result of political stability and our strength. With that, we can continue to fight for our rights and advance our state,” he said. –UKASnews
