Boeing Japan Welcomes Collaborative Opportunities With Sarawak

TOKYO: Boeing Japan has expressed enthusiasm for potential collaboration with the Sarawak Government.

President of Boeing Japan, Eric G. John shared his excitement after meeting with Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg, commending the Sarawak Premier’s clear and compelling vision for the development of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in the aviation industry.

He noted that Boeing is ready to support Datuk Patinggi Abang Zohari’s vision which promises to benefit the future of the aviation sector as a whole.

"Firstly, we are thrilled to meet with the Sarawak Premier. What struck me most is his vision for sustainable aviation and sustainable fuel in Malaysia. 

"Secondly, his ambition to further develop Sarawak is highly commendable, and as someone who has spent a significant amount of time in Southeast Asia, I personally stand behind and support his vision,” he said.

He made these remarks when speaking to UKAS and TVS following discussions with the Sarawak Premier and his delegation here, on Tuesday.

Eric also highlighted that the third point of their discussions revolved around the opportunities for Boeing to expand its role in Sarawak.

"This has been a great opportunity for us to discuss potential collaborations today," he added. -UKASnews
