BELAGA: The pre-Christmas celebration 2024 lit up the Belaga district on Sunday, marking a vibrant return of festive activities after years of dormancy.

Deputy Minister for Utility and Telecommunication, Datuk Liwan Lagang, highlighted the event’s success, which included food booths prepared by various groups.

The celebration also received support from the BEM Church Belaga Town and St. Francis Xavier Church, whose performances of songs and dances added to the festive atmosphere.

In his speech, Datuk Liwan emphasised the spirit of Christmas as a source of inspiration for unity and harmony among the Belaga community.

"May the Christmas spirit continue to inspire us, the people of Belaga, to build our lives on the foundation of trust and mutual respect.

“Let us nurture this positive spirit and celebrate Christmas with gratitude to God," he said during the ceremony.
