PUSA: Members of the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Sarawak have been reminded to remain ready and proactive in preparing for the upcoming election to secure the desired victory.

Deputy Prime Minister, Dato Sri Fadilah Yusuf, called on PBB members to engage actively with voters, emphasising their role in understanding and addressing the concerns of the electorate.

He also cautioned members against becoming complacent, noting that PBB continues to face strong political competition.

“Victory is essential to ensure the continuity of Sarawak’s agenda, led by PBB.

“If PBB retains the mandate, it will provide us with an advantage in gaining federal attention, ensuring our needs are heard and acted upon appropriately,” he said during the launch of the PBB Beting Maro Branch Delegates Meeting for the 2024-2027 term at Kampung Pusa Community Hall on Saturday.

The Petra Jaya Member of Parliament also highlighted that Sarawak has benefited greatly from political stability, with the return of some autonomous powers to the state being one of the significant achievements.

Earlier, Beting Maro Assemblyman, Razaili Gapor, in his welcoming speech, stressed the importance of PBB leaders being attentive and on the ground to address the issues faced by the local community.

He shared plans to develop Beting Maro into an agricultural hub focusing on crop production and food, agriculture, and fisheries-based products.

“I hope that the approved projects in Beting Maro can be fully completed to accelerate development in the constituency,” he stated.

In conclusion, he proposed that the three main positions in PBB should remain uncontested during the party’s General Assembly next year.

Also present were Batang Lupar Member of Parliament, Mohamad Shafizan Kepli, Lingga Assemblywoman, Dayang Noorazah Awang Sohor, PBB Beting Maro Youth Chief, Awang Nashfarini Awang Sarbini, and PBB Beting Maro Women’s Chief, Hajijah Lueng. -UKASnews
