KUCHING: The Institute of Management Sarawak (MASA), a non-profit organisation rooted in Sarawak, has entered into a significant Memorandum of Collaboration (MOC) with MyREF Consultancy and Training PLT (MyREF CT), a company fully owned by the Malaysian Research & Education Foundation (MyREF).

This collaboration marks a strategic partnership between MASA and MyREF CT, aimed at driving the development of training programmes, seminars, summits, and other initiatives focused on leadership, management, science, technology, and engineering.

The partnership underscores the shared vision of both organisations to nurture talent and provide platforms for knowledge exchange in these key areas.

A key aspect of the MOC is the establishment of a leadership institute dedicated to fostering expertise in leadership and management.

The institute will also engage in initiatives that encompass broader disciplines such as science, technology, engineering, and social sciences.

This collaborative endeavour aims to elevate the standard of leadership training and capacity building, both regionally and nationally, ensuring that participants are equipped with the necessary skills to meet evolving global challenges.

The MOC, which reflects a shared commitment to fostering sustainable communities and advancing national development, was officially signed today at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK).

Representing MyREF CT was its Chief Executive Officer, Ts. Mohd Khairuddin Rais, while General Manager of MASA, Dr. Krishnan Murali, signed on behalf of MASA.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Chairman of MyREF, Emeritus Professor Dato’ Abang Abdullah Abang Ali, and Board Director of MASA, Ahmad Zaiwin Mohd Kassim, further highlighting the importance of this partnership in shaping future leadership and management training in Sarawak and beyond.

This collaboration is expected to play a pivotal role in fostering innovation, enhancing leadership skills, and contributing to Sarawak's growth as a knowledge-driven state.-UKASnews
