LAWAS: Members of the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) have been called to maintain a strong sense of unity and teamwork in line with the party’s aspirations and mission.
Sarawak Deputy Premier, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, underscored the party’s long-standing history and its significant contributions, which continue to benefit the people today.
“The remarkable development enjoyed by local communities is the result of the collective efforts of our party.
“PBB is now the backbone of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS), and political stability lies in our hands.
“We must ensure that the party remains strong and resilient, as it is the foundation of our progress.
"It is vital for the younger generation to understand that while leadership may change, the unity and strength of our party must endure,” he said.
He said this during the opening ceremony of the PBB Bukit Sari Branch Delegates’ Meeting for the 2024–2027 session, held at a prominent hotel here on Saturday.
The PBB Deputy President further noted that significant developments in areas such as infrastructure, energy, and telecommunications have been achieved in Lawas and Limbang.
“We will continue to build our capabilities to compete and advance because we have the talent, capacity, and potential to succeed.
“With determination and confidence, we will achieve great things. This is what we must continue to strive for,” he emphasised.
Datuk Amar Awang Tengah also stressed the importance of inclusivity among all ethnic groups within PBB to ensure the party’s continued efforts and legacy.
The event was also attended by his wife, Dato Dayang Morliah Awang Daud, Lawas Member of Parliament Dato Henry Sum Agong, PBB Executive Secretary, Datuk Awang Bujang Awang Antek, and Political Secretary to the Sarawak Premier, Awangku Jinal Abedin Pengiran Jawa. -UKASnews
