YBhg. Dato Georgina Apphia Ngau attended the Interfaith Harmony Committee (HARMONI) Meeting Bil. 1/2026, chaired by YB Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang, Minister of National Unity, together with YB Senator Dr. Zulkifli bin Hasan, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), held at Le Meridien Putrajaya.
The meeting served as an important platform to present briefing and deliberation papers on ongoing efforts to strengthen interfaith harmony in Malaysia. Discussions focused on advancing national unity, enhancing mutual understanding among diverse religious communities, and promoting meaningful interfaith dialogue within Malaysia’s plural society.
During the meeting, the Chairperson also expressed appreciation for the establishment of the Unit for Other Religions (UNIFOR) in Sarawak, recognising it as a commendable model in fostering interfaith harmony.
Also in attendance with YBhg. Dato Pengarah was The Right Reverend Datuk Danald Jute, Chairman of the Association of Churches in Sarawak (ACS), in his capacity as a HARMONI Committee member, alongside other members representing diverse religious backgrounds. Their presence reflects the Government’s continued commitment to nurturing tolerance, mutual respect, and understanding as the foundation of harmony in Malaysia.
