YBhg. Dato Georgina Apphia Ngau attended the Chinese New Year Celebration Dinner 2026 at the UNIFOR Complex upon the invitation of YBhg. Dato Sri Richard Wee, President of The Federation of Chinese Associations Kuching, Samarahan & Serian Division, Sarawak, who is also the President of the Federation of Sarawak Temple Associations.
The Guest of Honour for the evening was the Premier of Sarawak, YAB Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr.) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, represented by the Deputy Premier of Sarawak, YB Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, who is also the Minister in charge of UNIFOR. He was accompanied by his wife, YBhg. Datin Amar Dato Doreen Mayang. Also in attendance was the Deputy Premier of Sarawak, YB Datuk Amar Professor Dr. Sim Kui Hian, together with his wife, YBhg. Datin Amar Dato Enn Ong Siok Ean.
The dinner brought together 75 fully occupied tables, featuring excellent cuisine and impressive performances throughout the evening. The screening of the Rising Sarawak and Kitai Begulai videos deeply touched the audience, inspiring all present to appreciate Sarawak’s development journey and to remain grateful for the strength and progress the state has achieved today.
The event was held in a lively and harmonious atmosphere, further showcasing the beauty and modern facilities of the UNIFOR Complex as a strategic venue for community unity programmes. The presence of leaders and members of the community reflected a shared commitment towards fostering harmony, tolerance, and a strong spirit of togetherness in Sarawak.
