Majlis Apresiasi UNIFOR 2025, an annual signature event of the Unit for Other Religions (UNIFOR), stands as a testament to Sarawak’s enduring commitment to harmony, inclusivity, and unity.
This year’s celebration was graced by The Right Honourable Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr.) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, Premier of Sarawak.
The event served as UNIFOR’s gesture of appreciation to the Sarawak Government for the annual SDAF allocation, which continues to sustain the development of interfaith Houses of Worship and mission schools across the state.
It was also a meaningful moment for UNIFOR to honour the unwavering commitment of our interfaith stakeholders — Christian, Buddhist, Taoist, Hindu, Sikh, and Bahá’í communities — together with key government agencies whose cooperation has strengthened unity and goodwill over the years.
The Minister in charge of UNIFOR, The Honourable Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Deputy Premier of Sarawak, has been a steadfast pillar of support since UNIFOR’s inception. His presence at the rehearsal, despite his demanding schedule, reflects the true essence of a leader who leads by example and remains grounded in service.
A key highlight of the evening was the announcement by the Premier of Sarawak of an additional RM10 million allocation for the SDAF Fund for 2026, bringing the total to RM120 million — a generous and inclusive commitment to ensuring continuous support for our interfaith communities.
A truly memorable evening that celebrated togetherness, inclusivity, and progress for all.
