A fruitful engagement session was held between the Unit for Other Religions (UNIFOR) and the heads and representatives of the Roman Catholic Church in Sarawak, encompassing the Archdiocese of Kuching and the Dioceses of Sibu and Miri.
The session was attended by YBhg. Archbishop Dato’ Dr. Simon Poh (Archdiocese of Kuching), The Right Reverend Bishop Joseph Hii (Diocese of Sibu), and The Right Reverend Bishop Richard Ng (Diocese of Miri), together with members of the clergy and lay representatives from the Southern, Central, and Northern regions of Sarawak.
UNIFOR expressed its appreciation for the Church’s longstanding service and contributions to society, and commended its spirit of cooperation, transparency, and dedication in supporting community projects. The Roman Catholic Church’s proactive engagement in implementation and reporting continues to strengthen our shared mission to uplift communities across the State.
This engagement reaffirmed UNIFOR’s commitment to open dialogue, policy alignment, and continuous improvement through meaningful stakeholder collaboration.
Together, we continue to build bridges of love, understanding, transparency and commitment advancing Sarawak’s vision of unity through inclusive governance and interfaith partnership.
