YBhg. Dato Georgina Apphia Ngau, Director of UNIFOR accompanied by Heads of Religions, interfaith representatives, and UNIFOR staff, attended a vibrant dinner celebration in honour of the Twin Holy Days Celebrating Birthdays of The Báb and Bahá’u’lláh. The celebration was thoughtfully organised by The Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís of Sarawak and was graced by the presence of YB Datuk Amar Prof. Dr. Sim Kui Hian, Deputy Premier of Sarawak and Minister for Public Health, Housing and Local Government.
The Twin Holy Days Celebrating Birthdays of The Báb and Bahá’u’lláh mark two of the nine holy days in the Bahá’í Faith that hold immense spiritual significance for Bahá’ís throughout the world. These two holy days celebrate the Births of the two Central Figures of the Bahá’í Faith, namely, the Báb and Bahá’u’lláh, the Twin-Founders of the Baha'i Faith, whose teachings call humanity to unity, justice, and peace.
UNIFOR provided financial assistance for food and beverages in support of this significant festival, reflecting its commitment to respecting religious festivities and fostering religious harmony.
Also consistent with its inclusive mission, UNIFOR continues to provide similar support to diverse religious communities across Sarawak, including Christian, Taoist, Sikh, Hindu, and Buddhist, in celebration of their respective holy festivals.
