DARO: A mother's message of always being honest and perseverance is a guide to life that continues to be held by the Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier's Department (Corporate Affairs, Information and UKAS), Datuk Abdullah Saidol.

According to him, the advice of honesty, gratitude and perseverance, although simple, acts as the cornerstone in shaping one's personality, instilling the values in daily life.

"My mother's message is very meaningful and can be used as a guide by today's young generation," he said during the Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony of Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Penibong, Pulau Bruit held on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the Semop Assemblyman also expressed his disappointment over the SK Penibong upgrading project which has been long delayed, assuring that he would once again raise this matter with the relevant ministry.

The khatam ceremony celebrated the success of 10 SK Penibong students who successfully completed the recitation of the Quran in an orderly and devoted manner, marking an important achievement in Islamic religious learning at the school.

This ceremony not only provided a space to celebrate the success of the students, but also served as a platform to strengthen the relationship between the school, parents and the local community, in addition to instilling a love of the Quran and Islamic values ​​among the younger generation.
