KUCHING: Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg received a courtesy visit from the Sarawak Bumiputera Entrepreneurs Chamber (DUBS) at Wisma Bapa Malaysia on Friday.
The DUBS delegation was led by its President, Datu Abang Halmi Ikhwan, along with Deputy President, Halim Mohamad, Vice-Presidents, Roselyn Long Lah and Dr. Sulaiman Sahari, as well as members of the DUBS High Executive Council.
According to Datu Abang Halmi, the purpose of the visit was to brief the Sarawak Premier on the progress of projects and machinery sponsored by the Sarawak Government.
“So far, we have updated him on the latest developments of these projects. The Sarawak Premier has always shown concern for the Bumiputera business community and has supported us in many ways,” he said when met after the courtesy call.
He added that the government has extended various forms of assistance to DUBS, particularly in implementing training programmes for Bumiputera entrepreneurs.
In addition, members of the public who are keen to venture into entrepreneurship have also received support through financial contributions from the government.
Meanwhile, the visit also served to update Datuk Patinggi Abang Zohari on the progress of the new DUBS building located at Jalan Ong Tiang Swee. -UKASnews
