KUCHING: Amanah Saham Sarawak (ASSAR) continues to demonstrate stable and encouraging performance with the declaration of a final dividend of 3 sen per unit, bringing the total dividend for the financial year ending 30 June 2025 to 6 sen per unit.

Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg said the dividend distribution involves a total payout of RM28.76 million to 57,870 ASSAR investors across the state.

“This second distribution, which follows the interim payout in January, will involve RM14.52 million, calculated based on unit holdings as of 30 June 2025.

“It also reflects a surplus income of RM12 million, now available as reserves to support ASSAR’s income in the next period,” he said.

He said this during the announcement of ASSAR’s dividend for the financial year ending 30 June 2025, held at Hikmah Exchange on Wednesday.

The Sarawak Premier added that this success was achieved through prudent asset management strategies despite the challenges of an uncertain market.

He noted that ASSAR remains a safe and low-risk investment instrument, especially with the assurance of a guaranteed minimum price of RM1.00 per unit.

Meanwhile, Datuk Patinggi Abang Zohari also announced the launch of the ASSAR Mobile Office, a new initiative aimed at expanding service outreach to rural communities.

“With the launch of this mobile office, I am confident that more people will have easier access to investment information and services related to the ASSAR fund without having to travel to the main office in Kuching,” he added.

Also present were Sarawak Secretary, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, Sarawak Attorney-General, Dato Sri Saferi Ali, Chairman of Amanah Saham Sarawak Berhad (ASSB), Dato Sri Wahab Dolah, as well as Board Members of Permodalan ASSAR Sdn Bhd, Amanah Saham Sarawak Berhad and other subsidiaries. -UKASnews
